Cecilia Cacchione was born in Milan on April 7, 1978. Her short life ended tragically on June 23, 2000. Her loss engendered enormous pain in her friends and familiars. At the notice of her death, all of Cecilia and her family’s friends reached out to the suffering parents with a warm embrace that continues on until now. Through this bond of friendship Cecilia’s memory has being brought on over time: many persons who loved Cecilia during her earthly life still express such love through words of affection and effective actions of solidarity.
On November 22, 2018, Cecilia’s memory got a new life: Cecilia Associazione was founded, with the aim of promoting education to the arts, to beauty, and in particular to music. This association was founded as an answer to the desire of Cecilia’s friends to get together in a renewed way. Cecilia Associazione’s goals are: to reunite from all over the world people who graciously want to participate in bringing on Cecilia’s memory; to obtain practical support to the initiatives that Cecilia Associazione promotes; to build a community of people who commit themselves to a renewed research for the Beauty and the Spirit; to open up to the future accordingly to what the Spirit will suggest the Association to do.
Cecilia Associazione was founded by her sister Giovanna Cacchione, her cousin Mattia De Vecchi, and a group of friends: Mimma and Ettore Moretti, Claudio D’Agostino, Marino Abbo and Paolo Faina.
